Albert's War Record:
|
|
Albert apparently left England with his father and step-mother
some time after 1901 as he was recorded as being a resident
of Winoma, Canada when he enlisted in Birmingham. He was in
the 1st Battalion of the Duke of Edinburgh's Wiltshire Regiment.
His service number when he died was 19709, although he had previously
be listed as Private 11188, of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire
Light Infantry.
